Quins field Update

Dear Harlequin Family,,
We are thrilled to share some exciting updates on the recent improvements completed at Saint Patrick Field. Our efforts have focused on enhancing the functionality and safety of the facility for all users.
To kick off these enhancements, we added a 20-foot container that provides us with secure storage for all our equipment, including the gear for Saint Patrick’s flag football, it is fully powered and can be used for multiple functions.
Phase One: Installation of Vertical Lights
- We successfully installed *ight vertical lights throughout the field. These lights are designed to illuminate the area effectively and are linked together to be powered by generators.
- Each light stands tall on 5-foot concrete pedestals, which is sunk 3ft deep ensuring stability and durability. Additionally, we have integrated 23-foot light pole to provide enhanced visibility during evening events.
Phase Two: Transition to Permanent Power
- To provide reliable lighting, we replaced the temporary generators with permanent power sources. This involved a significant upgrade:
- A trench was dug across the field to connect the far side lights to the sub panel located by the fence on the south side.
- This new setup also connects to the **main panel by the water tank, ensuring a robust electrical system for our lighting needs.
These improvements are a testament to our dedication to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all who use Saint Patrick Field. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you at the field!
Best regards,
Cliff Rouse

St Patrick Field Restoration
We are thrilled to provide you with the latest updates on the St. Patrick Field restoration project, an initiative aimed at bringing our beloved field back to life. Over the past few years, wear and tear had visibly affected the field, prompting us to embark on this consolidated venture.
One of the major challenges we encountered was identifying the root cause behind certain parts of the field not receiving enough water to sustain the grass. After careful analysis, we made the decision to replace over 90 sprinkler heads. This task required extensive digging and resetting, but was a necessary step to address the dying areas of the field.
However, after we began this endeavor, we encountered an unexpected setback. It was discovered that there was a blockage within the system that was preventing water from reaching any of the sprinklers. Our lead engineer, Ryan Fong, devised an ingenious solution that involved digging and laying a new pipe system to bypass the blockage. Remarkably, what was initially expected to take weeks of digging was accomplished in just three days, thanks to the dedication and hard work of our team.
With the bypass system now in place, water flow has been restored to the field. Our focus has shifted to ensuring the system maintains sufficient pressure to support the necessary sprinkler coverage. To this end, we have engaged the services of a pump and sprinkler engineer, who will be completing the finishing this project, ensuring everything is in perfect order for the upcoming season.
In the meantime, we have taken additional steps to nourish and prepare the field for its reopening. The field has been aerated, and we have ordered 15 yards of topsoil and 200 pounds of seed. Over the next few weeks, we will be meticulously redressing the field.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the individuals who have contributed to this major undertaking. Adolfo, Angel, Ryan, Wesley, Cliff, Mike, and countless others have shown exceptional dedication, expertise, and passion throughout this project.
Please stay tuned for further updates as we approach the completion of St. Patrick Field. We cannot wait to provide our club with a revitalized field and a nice pitch which we can be proud off.
